Introducing our founder Peter Slifko, Jr. Mr. Slifko was an accountant in the Navy during World War II, stationed in the San Francisco area. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Mr. Slifko worked as a staff accountant for General Motors. When his wife became ill he quit working to take care of her. After a few years, Mr. Slifko started the firm out of his home to have the freedom and time to care for his wife while still working. In the early 80’s the business had expanded to the point where he leased his first office on Main St. in Clawson, Mi.
Although he is no longer with us, he will always be an inspiration to us.
Denice started working for Mr. Slifko in 1990. Denice was a single parent to two children, going to school in the evenings. She received her license to become an Enrolled Agent in 1995. Denice took over the firm upon Mr. Slifko’s retirement on July 1, 1997. She has over 20 years experience and is here to help you with all your tax needs.
Rachel started working at Slifko & Associates after school while in Junior High School. Upon graduating from High School, Rachel travelled to Arizona. Rachel returned to Michigan and the Slifko family in 2011. As the current office manager, she looks forward to a long and productive career at Slifko & Associates.
