Peter Slifko, Jr.
Founder
Mr. Slifko was an accountant in the Navy during World War II, stationed in the San Francisco area. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Mr. Slifko worked as a staff accountant for General Motors. When his wife became ill he quit working to take care of her. After a few years, Mr. Slifko started the firm out of his home to have the freedom and time to care for his wife while still working. In the early 80’s the business had expanded to the point where he leased his first office on Main St. in Clawson, Mi.
Although he is no longer with us, he will always be an inspiration to us.
Denice Vitale
Owner
Denice started working for Mr. Slifko in 1990 and while working during the day Denice attended school in the evenings and raised her two kids. Her hard work paid off and in 1995 she received her Enrolled Agent License. On July 1, 1997 Denice took over the firm upon Mr. Slifko’s retirement. For over 20 years Denice’s commitment to accuracy and efficiency not only ensures smooth operations but also helps her clients make informed strategic decisions underscoring her genuine love for the art of accounting.
Rachel Johnson
Office Manager
Rachel started working at Slifko & Associates after school while in Junior High School. As the current office manager, she looks forward to a long and productive career at Slifko & Associates. Rachel is currently studying for her Enrolled Agents License and will be taking over upon Denice’s retirement continuing the legacy of outstanding and accurate bookkeeping and income tax preparation.
